Karadag and Mierraili escorted under tight security for re-enactment of deadly bombing

BANGKOK: -- Hundreds of police commandos and soldiers today escorted two bomb suspects for re-enactment of their acts in the bombing of the Erawan Shrine which killed 20 people, and injured over 120 others on August 17.

Jurin Penmit, 28, was arrested with a .38 Colt pistol and 12 rounds of size 12 bullets, 20 rounds of .38 bullets and 12 rounds of 9mm bullets

PHUKET: Two men and one woman were arrested in Patong earlier today (Sept 26) as part of an anti-drug and crime campaign being carried out by Kathu police from September 23-29.

PWA to improve tap water coverage in 2015

BANGKOK, 26 Septemer 2015 (NNT) – The Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) is speedily extending tap water coverage throughout the country to help solve a lack of public access to tap water, by the end of this year.

PWA Governor Ratana Kitchawan has revealed that the PWA is now in the process of expanding the tap water network to cover more households in an attempt to provide clean water, as prioritized by the government.

The PWA is going ahead with the 29 remaining projects out of a total 291 projects in 2015, to supply tap water to 29,829 more households, or about 90,000 persons, with a total budget of about 860 million baht.

The Governor added that the PWA is also expanding the tap water supply system to accommodate the growth of urban communities and the growing needs of tourism, as tap water is the basic utility that will help suppot a strong economic foundation and improve the livelihood of the general public.
