Simon Cowell/ American Idol, Ruined Pop/Soul Music In The U.S.

Featured Replies

That American Idol show hosted by Simon Cowell ruined pop/soul music in the United States. That show led by him selected for, advocated , and rewarded this whining half slow-half fast stuff/style.

And then they actually called this slop soul ??. Of course the saps in the audience ( who have never heard of Ray Charles, The Miracles or all the rest of Motown)

bought into all that garbage and made some of those so called singers a career.

Its pop music...

There is still so much good music in the U.S..

You just need to look in the10s of thousands of bars and live music venues all over the country

You just won't find them on the radio..

But then again wasn't that always the case? (At least over the last 30 years)

Er... Thailand.... Thailand.... what's Simon Cowell got to do with Thailand??

Who took the jam out your donut this morning?

Been watching UK X-Factor this, there has been some amazing talent on the show this year, people that would never get the chance otherwise, or for the public to enjoy their talent

Don't like it? then don't watch it.
