Used Fans and Box Fans

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone,

Anyone know of a good place to get used floor/wall/ceiling fans? They usually go for around 1000 THB new on average but I'm looking to buy a few and would like to find them a bit cheaper (they disappear lightning quick on FB). Also, I'm on the lookout for box fans I can place against my windows... but I haven't seen one anywhere. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Dunno. Thais usually use everything until it is unusable and then keep it somewhere around the house.

You could always go to a/some recycling places..... often see fans in these places + pickups that collect from peoples houses often have fans on the back.

Always take everything that is recyclable to them and get cash + buy old newspapers 5kg = 50 baht [for dog toilet - have 10 dogs so use a lot]... often see old fans there..

myself have lots of fans [well 12] some going back 12 years, all work, if a problem taken the to a guy that repairs them........ eg this week one fan was running at one speed on all setting, fixed and got back Thursday cost 98 baht......... only 2 wall fans have I recycled as the casing broke and they fell off the walls.

Fans can be bought brand new from all prices, most very affordable.

Why would anyone want to buy something that`s probably on it`s last legs?

Yeah, that's a good point. We just need a few and are low on funds...

Anyone know where they sell those thin box fans? We want to have one side of the house pull air in while the other blows it out and they would be perfect just hanging on the windows.

Thanks
