just done my 90 day report today,at THE OLD OFFICE five minutes in and out and parking spec, easy

Hah....now that is new information again. May just try that and get into the system that time to use online reporting next time. But will try the latter first. Thanks for the heads up!

Get back to us on that will you. I don't think it will help with the online. I think they want a picture of you before you can play hit or miss with the on line.

Why waste the time. I mail in with EMS both ways. Four day turnaround from the time I dropped the envelop at my post office to the time I pick it up from my post office. Being out in the middle of nowhere, I confused the hell out of the postal employee the first time I did EMS out with an EMS SASE enclosed. It was good my wife was with me to explain in detail. Now that we have the process down, it's the only way to go, especially seeing the online is not on option for me (my info isn't in their database so I'm told).

EMS is your friend. Kudos where kudos are deserved; they are da*m efficient with 90 day mail-ins. Give it a shot! thumbsup.gif

Before you go try the online application first. If this fails you can mail it in. If you're a masochist you may still go to Promenada in person.

The online app doesn't work in Chiang Mai. They are telling people NOT to try it. As for the mail in, I wouldn't trust the post office with my passport. I went last week, there were maybe 20 people there. In and out in about 15 minutes.

You don't mail your passport. Check out Tywais' 90 day reporting post that is pinned on the CM forum page. It outlines specifically what documents you need and the procedure for mailing. A tip o' the hat to Tywais!

I'm a bit surprised about that info also. Possibly a one off fluke until further experiences show otherwise.

Did a 90 day reporting on the 12 Oct, ( Monday) Arrived at 7 20 am, Was fourth in the queue, Walked out at 9.00 am, done and dusted.

I used to send them in by registered post. One didn't get there. Had to go to the office anyway. 2 hours later had officers holding up the PO receipt to the light.blink.png Asking all sorts of nonsensical questions.

Regards.

Regular registered post works fine. As you said, on the enclosed self-adressed envelope too.

well i did it the other day

Went to the office (first time there) didnt see a place to take a number. Went to front desk, they told me to go outside and get a number

went outside talked to two friendly female staff, they just walked me back in without a number handed my paperwork to the officer

they called me over 5 minutes later and it was complete

Arrived 2pm was out by 210pm

the office was busy but i guess the 90 day report line was not:)

Again a four working day turn around for me, my 90 day report, posted from Hang Dong, thats probably my 7th, all the same quick result.

This time by registered mail, not EMS ,cost was less than 50 baht.Cheaper than driving to Promenada for me.

By boring people to death on the success of mail - ins maybe we can finally reduce numbers going to Immigration.

I've just finished the whole experiment, 90 days report through the 4 potential channels.

1) Online

Does not work. I get rejected ("contact immigration" popup) after the first page. I understand from comments here, that one does have to make a report in person first, before online eventually works. I haven't done a personal report in CNX, only in BKK. What I don't understand, how the system could know where I am, after the first page. So there are certainly other flaws in the system other than a requirement doing a report in person.

2) Report at the old immigration

Was reported here, that that worked again. The short answer is no. Eventhough they still have signs standing there saying "90 day report", you will friendly but strictly redirected to Promenada. No 90 days at old office.

3) Report at Promenade

Arrived there at 1:30 (today is Tuesday). Got number 136. 20 people in front of me. I watched 5 mins and nothing was moving. So I returned my number, should have seen the faces smile.png Told the girls at information that I'll send it by mail which they obviously did not comprehend.

4) Just back from Hang Dong Post Office. 2 mins wait, 18B for registered mail + 3 but for the SASE

In summary, it is not worth time, money and fuel to approach immigration in person. Looking at the amount of people waiting and the officers at duty they are completely overloaded. So make it easier for everybody and either report online if it works or send it by registered mail.

Good news (if one wants to call this good), for reporting in person you don't need to queue there before sunrise. Coming after lunch (1pm) is sufficient to get your report done before COB (4:30pm).

Is there a new address to send 90 day reports by mail, or is it still sent to the office near the airport?

Cheers & Thanks
