Playboy Magazine Will No Longer Publish Fully Nude Photos

LOS ANGELES: -- 'Playboy is Done With Nudes' reads like an Onion headline, but here we are. Apparently, the magazine that made its mark on our culture with millions of images of naked women is buttoning up: they're done printing fully nude photos.

Why the sudden change? Are they on the wrong side of the #FreeTheNipple Instagram war, or is this just for the art of it all?

It would appear that it's the latter. According to the New York Times, Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, met with Hugh Hefner last month at the Playboy Mansion to discuss a change in strategy. Jones proposed that the magazine stop publishing nude images, and Hefner, now 89, agreed.

Playboy without nudity defeat the purpose of its existence, like an airplane with out wings and car without wheels, what are they going to show now? fully dressed bunnies? it's like looking at your sister,, who's going to buy it? surly not for the culinary and home keeping articles in it....

No matter, it was always about the cars and the men's fashions, right gents?

It was only ever for all the true stories it printed, anyway.

I haven't even seen one for maybe 30 years, let alone picked one up. Like xxx movies, after you've seen a dozen or so, you've seen them all.

Apparently only in the US, in other countries the nudes will stay.

What's left to publish --------------------------------????

In a way, it makes sense. Much more hard core porn is free and easily available to all with ONE CLICK. They can't compete with that, so why bother with the continued farce? When I was a kid it was either the Sears catalog or Playboy. That's it.

They forgot to mention that Ol Hef showed up to the meeting wearing a diaper claiming all the bunnies were for him only......

Back in The early 70's I got a years worth - Living temp in New York for almost a year at the time my friends and I all signed up for the playboy club keys in New York. It was the best place to have parties and and go for drinks and buffet especially on Friday as we got warmed up for the weekends. Coat and tie required, but that gig works pretty good in New York anyway. Turned out to be a great deal in all.

The yet-to-be-defined keyword here is "total nudity." What does that mean? Bare breasts but no muffin? Or what?

It appears the perrinial lie, "I only read Playboy for the articles", is finally coming true.

Meanwhile the article's stats say a lot about the PC conservatism of mellinials.

A death knell for Playboy MAGAZINE perhaps ... as with many other magazines of late. But, did you read the entire article? It says Playboy's on-line traffic has increased by a very large margin because of this change.

In a way, it makes sense.

Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy or somebody way up there must be gay. That soves the mystery! All the terrible airbrushing ruined it for me a long time ago.

The dysfunctional feminists had Zoo magazine ban this year in Australia which caused them to go bust and Men's Fitness published for the first time a woman on the front of their magazine.
