Lampang2
Not chili hot but there are spices. Garlic is big. True. Mojo. But that's about it. I like cuban food, no doubt. But Thai is more fun. Sometimes I miss the yuca and congri.. Bucanero y cristal. Ps In 2007 one bottle of Havana club was about USD 5.5, 75cl Pretty cheap :-) Ds
Somtamnication
My family lives there. They keep asking me to move there and I refuse. Crime is everywhere and waiting in line 5 hours for a roll of toilet paper? Warts and all, Thailand is far better. What that guy in the article did was sell his Euros for blackmarket Bolivares. Everyone does it. But one day, I shall return.
elgenon
Chicas are stunning beautiful and yes, they like gringos - as long as they have cash. Same same, they just look better than here. I don't like hairy girls. One disadvantage there. Oh and they tend to weigh more. 2nd disadvantage. But MHO.
Nowisee
Sounds like a scary place to live. I guess I'll stop my bitching, suck it up and head to immigration to stand in line for extension of stay...
zurgos
LOL, once read a CR travel blog where the guy complained that everyday he had rice and beans for breakfast, beans and rice for lunch, and mixed rice and beans for dinner..... has anyone ever seen a CR restaurant anywhere in the world(outside CR)? Venezuela? Where you could get robbed, shot, kidnapped, killed or all of the above in one afternoon? OP can't be serious. The only country in that part of the world worth poking about in is Costa Rica. Look it up. And ticas are babes. Look that up too. Costa Rican food ... most boring and bland on the planet. Latin America without the spice. You can keep it. Edited October 17, 2015 by zurgos
zurgos
Define Cuban food and I do not mean Havana Club, mojitos or cigars... Have you ever actually been there? We are talking about Cuban food in Cuba and not an overseas place? I don't agree. I love Cuban food. Ok..Having spent a lot of time on the island I can say that best cuban food is served in Miami. Some cuban food I love. But Cubans do not make spicy food..Actually the complete opposite. Fluent in Spanish with cuban accent. Fluent in their culture. Mostly in Havana but also traveling around. Often to Puerto Padre, las tunas province. Staying with my family, rarely on hotels. The great majority of Cubans don't like spicy food.

melvinmelvin
And Ecuador is far from free of dangers. I have been to a number of international meetings in Ecuador. Each time escorted by armed guards from airport to hotel and from hotel to meeting venue. Necessary? Dunno. But to think Ecuador is free from hassle is probably not wise. Well, recent news I am reading says crime rate has declined a lot in the top expat target there -- CUENCA. I haven't been though and yes Quito still sounds scary. I continue to be interested in both Cuenca Ecuador and Medellin Colombia but don't know if I'll ever actually check it out. Staying in Thailand is easier! thaibeachlovers
What is the women situation like? Do they like foreigners? I saw a doco about a sex hotel run by a Brit on an island. Prostitution is legal in Venezuela. Then I looked up the web site and the girls pics were on it. Not one made me think of trying a holiday there. Thailand will do, thanks. juice777
I just remembered Venezuela has all inclusive resorts where your room comes with girlfriend of your choice. you pay one price for a week or 2 and everything food, beer, room and GF. Thailand has those too. Or they did. Where are they then I want to have a read about it Not that I would do it what if u hated her Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
juice777
Just for the novelty of it, especially the 5* cocaine lifestyle, this topic wins today's internet.I think a lot of the the old expats would be dead in a week if they moved there and things like that are that cheapSent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
juice777
I have always wanted to travel around Latin America but was put of because of the crime, I've herd so many horror stories, one guy told me he always carried mugging money with him!!! Reason being if some one points a gun at you and you ant got no cash on you they might shoot you dead because it's more easy to search a dead body then a live one , that did it for me never going now Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Edited October 18, 2015 by juice777

However, blatently selling sex holidays is definitely a no no. The good thing is that it stops pimping, like used to happen back during the Vietnam war era. That's how foreigners live down there. In gated compounds with security guards. Things can be cheap but you have to do your entertaining in a secure location. That means bringing girls and your dates back to your place, and eating mostly at your place. You can also put in marble bathtubs and keep your little friend in a cabinet closeby. A night out on he town is indeed a treat!
