I have an extremely irritating symptom on my phone and I am just wondering if anyone here has ever used the tech support line and were you able to get someone with a strong command of English?

I think you for your attention.

Knock on wood, it's been a while since I've needed to talk to True, but when I used to call 1331, I would usually ask to be transferred to an English-speaking rep, and usually got a totally fluent rep. I think they all speak a little English, and are relieved to be asked to transfer the call to someone else so as to not have to struggle through my call. As they say, however, "YMMV."

Never tried online chat. Maybe will try that next time.

I called recently and was amazed how well the lady spoke English... but I didn't feel she was a technical type.

It was actually True Online and she really just booked a service visit, a subsequent call to True Visions and I am afraid I couldn't tell hardly a word the lady was saying.

with true vision i just pick the english option on the menu

everytime I get someone who speaks perfect english, very helpful and exremely polite

maybe I have just been lucky but so far I have been stunned by the great service, I am used to Panama where for the most part they dont really give a ^&(^&

and english is scarce

I was even told off and told to improve my Spanish,,,I asked the lady if she had ever visited that other Spanish speaking country,,,Miami

there if you dont speak spanish you dont work

though I do feel they are priced a little high for what I get (gold package)

Sorli no have!

At least Thais make the effort.

Wonder what your Thai sounds like to them?

Must have missed that overnight Thai changed to be the leading language used in business worldwide.

From my long experience here, True offers some of the worst support (though 3BB runs a close second). You'll be EXTREMELY lucky if True even answers the phone. If they do, you'll be put on hold interminably and the person you might get to talk to eventually has no experience so you'll be put on an endless lopp of telephone tag. Callbacks? You've got to be dreaming! Switch providers is my advice. Best approach is to go to a major True office and don't leave till you're fixed.

That's not my experience. In Bangkok Truevisions and True Online have pretty good telephone support and always reply to emails within 2-3 days.

Pulled the trigger and gave a call this morning.

First talked to a CSR and she then connected to tech support and the CSR acted as a real time translator. It went better than expected and I think my issue was solved. No real complaints, went much better than I expected it to.

Both True Move and True Online have English speaking reps, but their main duty is language skills, not technical knowledge.

You get to the English reps by making the correct number selection on their voicemail system when you call in.

I've never had any trouble understanding the English spoken by those reps. But, I've had LOTS of trouble getting them to understand technical issues, or to follow-through on service issues in the promised manner.

For True Move mobile phone issues, you usually can find some English speaking staff at their main tourist area shops in places like Siam Paragon, Digital Gateway, etc.
