Thai at Heart
EFFECTIVE EDUCATION BY THE T. V. WITH SHORT CLIPS OF WHAT NOT TO DO , HOW TO DO, IS THE CHEAPEST FASTEST WAY TO EDUCATE THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES MADE BY DRIVERS, CHEAP AND RESULTS WILL BE IMMEDIATE, ADDS CAN BE SHOWN DURING SOCCER, PRIME SOAPS, NOT HARD TO DO,Do you really think that the average Thai is going to pay any attention to adds on the T V?Just start enforcing the rules now and that's it. It is up to drivers to know the rules, most of which is common sense anyway. Before anyone says Thai drivers don't have any common sense, I know that, but they will soon learn if the laws are enforced. Road safety adverts have been around for years and have been proven effective. Why not?
farangmick
How to enhance the competitiveveness of the Thai workforce. 1. Give them a proper education, training and marketable skills 2. Reduce wages until Thailand starts poaching jobs from Bangladesh. Can't see either happening, especially the first.

CarolJadzia
Due to the lack of training Thai Drivers tend to treat the roads like pedestrians. If you look at the way they use the roads you will see it. Same rules we all use when on foot. Why should they do differently as that is all they really know. Enforcement will work to a point, that point is where it is enforced. Problem there is getting Thai Police officers to enforce it in a proper and fair manner. Stepped licensing with training for the specific type of vehicle you intend to use. Proper training courses with on road tuition. Commercial vehicles fitted with Tachographs and cameras. As motorcyclists currently make up over 70% of the recorded fatalities what is needed is proper road based training schools teaching defensive riding skills. Rather than the current off road site based training and racetrack days.
