Hi, i usually buy my polarised sunglasses from a lady in the lower ground floor at the MBK centre, good choice, good quality and good price B750, where can i get the same in chiang mai? i will be flying into bkk soon and was hoping to fly straight up to chiang mai without the need to stay in bkk for a night. I have not needed to buy any so far in chiang mai but i recently lost a pair and I can't even recall seeing any on my travels around chaining mai, can anyone point me in the right direction?

regards

ps. do not trust the opticians to give me polarised and rip me off

That's a peculiar attitude.. Also it's clear enough if they're polarized glasses or not, they typically have some sort of test card or sign somewhere with an image that's only visible with polarized glasses. Also looking at a bunch of cars will make it clear as their window film will show up in slight rainbow coloration when you look at it with polarized glasses.

So indeed any optician shop (Top Charoen, etc.) should work. I got mine at Uniqlo, something like 500 baht I think.

Put on one pair. Hold another pair before your eyes and turn it vertical. If the lens turn black, opaque, both pairs are polarized. Tesco main floor with all the other glasses will do.
