After one year of use I need to replace the 18 inch cutting blade on my Euroe 5 lawnmower. I've tried all the usual suspects, Montri's (and nearby shops), Global House, Bahn and Beyond, Tai Watsudu and HomePro, all say they don't stock it.

So I looked on the internet to see if I could find out any information about Euroe suppliers and then came back blank.

I did find an 18 inch Chinese made blade that could be redrilled and adapted but I'm hoping that's a last resort, anyone?

FWIW I purchased it from Bahn and Beyond who say they can order one from a supplier somewhere but will likely take six months!!!

Surely Global can supply. They stock blades for brush cutters and mowers down the machinery end but talk to the wrong staff member and get a bum steer.

HomePro possibly better with customer service albeit more expensive OEM parts. Once again, ensure you speak with correct staff person or department manager.

I'll try Global again and see if they have a new answer. What's slightly more interesting is that I don't see contact details anywhere for EUROE products, not on the web and not in the product handbook. Iin fact there's nothing in the handbook to say even who what or where the company is, slightly worrying if a customer spends 20k on one of their products and can't contact them, other than potentially through a supplier.

I suppose the answer is to always do the research before making a big value purchase. That is check on guarantee and after sales service. I'm not a smart ass but I do be careful where I spend my coin.

I agree but sadly I took the word of the Bahn and Beyond people regarding after sales service and parts availability, they were true enough to their word but they failed to explain the timescales involved. And since virtually all the major stores stock EUROE products, lawnmowers and brushcutters, it's hard to imagine such a gap exists in the market.

But all is not a total loss, I've adapted a Chinese cutting blade to fit and it work well, the following day I was in Global House yet again when lo and behold there's a whole rack of lawnmower blades (the ones they didn't sell before!!!) and the one I needed is in there also.

Buy 3 or more as you never know when they will have stock again.

For me, I swear by (and at sometimes) Honda 4 stroke brush cutters, and grass cutters as spares are easy to find and not that expensive.

Manuals are available online and I know ot at least 2 good suppliers out here in Nakhon Nowhere plus the local shops sell blades and normal running supplies.
