PATTAYA:-- In the early hours of Sunday, a team of over 300 Police and Police Volunteers conducted raids on two popular Discotheques on Walking Street.

The team consisted of Pattaya Police, Crime Suppression Police from Bangkok and Police Volunteers and the two venues checked were Marine Disco in the center of Walking Street and Mixx Discotheque at the Southern end of the street.

License Checks, ID checks, and random drug tests were conducted on staff and patrons and for the second operation in a row nothing untoward was found.

Ranks right up there with "small earthquake in peru, no one injured".

Drugs must be a thing of the past in Thailand.

Check 2 major discos on a weekend and nobody test positive for drugs. laugh.png

Next they gonna say Santa Claus is real and flying through the sky on his sleigh.

They are always very selective, and as the last finance minister said. A white lie is ok!

Something tells me there were some preparatory phone calls prior to the actual "visits", either that or someone saw the 200 or so police associates amassing out the front of the station before the "raids".

Well I shall arrive in Thailand next week for business and to my knowledge Insomnia is all paid up :)

Welcome to run there own show. Money talks bullshit walks and as for marine the owner is a city officials father

Is all a show and only for the media

Is it worth doing these raids when nothing is ever found ?

It has to be something wrong with their test methods/equipment. Maybe it has been used before? Please police read the instructions on the packages,

Santa Claus is not real? :)

Why is insomnia NEVER checked ? Does it really belong to high rank police officers ?

Where did you take this "NEVER" from?

Google strongly disagrees:

Insomnia Club on Walking Street, raided by Police, again :

City-wide checks on Pattaya Bars and Clubs continue :

etc.

Marine Disco is still going?

Last time I was in there was about 17 years ago.

Plenty of bad things on the roads all day long in pattaya

Do some real work , cops of Pattaya, bah.gif

There are many nasty real criminals in Pattaya why not go after them , these raids are a farce.

wish they arrested the DJ at Marine, last time I went there the music was shocking

Is it worth doing these raids when nothing is ever found ?

Not one drug or underage person in 2 crowded discos? It's hard to believe they found nothing.
