There used to be a man who would set up at night on the pavement at the start of Sukhumvit soi 8 in front of the massage place near the escalator to Nana BTS. He would do pencil reproductions by hand of portrait photos. He seems to have moved on. Anyone know where to, or who else offers this kind of service around lower Sukhumvit?

I was in BKK recently and there was a guy and I guess his wife on the bottom floor of MBK doing them, although probably tourist prices. Very skilled though, photo realistic pencil work. Not sure if it helps but might be worth a look.

Sorry, not close to Sukhumvit but several can usually be found at Chatuchak Weekend Market near the "Art" section, not far from the "Kampangphet" MRT entrance
