The Chancellor has promised more money for MI5, MI6 and GCHQ to recruit spooks, adding the agencies will get a 'generous' settlement in the spending review

LONDON: -- Intelligence agencies will be given funding for 1,000 extra spies to work on combating terror plots, the chancellor has announced.


George Osborne said MI5, MI6 and GCHQ will be granted money for a recruitment drive as he warned "now is not the time" to scale back the UK's commitment to intelligence gathering following the "probable fate" of the Russian jet in which all passengers died.

Speaking at a building site in West London Mr Osborne said: "As the nature of war, espionage and terrorism changes – we must change with it.

"The internet – central to modern life – provides new ways for our enemies to plan and act against us.

The old adage that says a 1,000 wise men will not find the one fool throw into the ocean...

now 1,000 Intel staff will try to undo a huge mistake made by Obama for first supporting

the terrorists and the world is trying to fight the very same ones....

Not defending Obama here a all, but this mess the US is in now, started with Jimmy Carter and then Regan and every US President there after has a hand in developing/building this so called terror network.

Just trying to keep things in a honest perspective.
