Can I get a SIMS card that works locally for iPhone 5c?

Featured Replies

I have an unlocked Apple iPhone 5c, 16gb (GSM Factory Unlocked: Device is unlocked for use on any GSM network in the USA). I arrive in Chiang Mai soon for a 21 day stay (evaluating if I want to retire there or not…) My question is: Any chance of getting a pre-paid working SIMS card there locally that will work in this phone?

No problem. Take your phone and passport into an AIS shop and they will sort you out.

Thanks for the info, Sharktooth and Augustwest. Sounds like a doable plan.

When you land in Chiang Mai, come down the steps into baggage collection, to the right is a True stand that will give you a sim card. Show them your passport, they will have it in your phone before your bag arrives.
