Need little advice here

I got Ninja 300

Doing service

Change sprokets and chain

Standard are 14t/42t

Online guy telling me many get 15t/45t

Whats difference

Should i or better stay standard sizes?

14 / 42 = ratio of 1/3

15 / 45 = ratio of 1/3

No change in gearing / transmission.

No idea why someone is suggesting this change. If in doubt, stick with the standard set-up.

There will be probably be some reason.

Exactly.

The gear-box speedo is calibrated to stock sprockets, and rear wheel/tire dimensions.

The only reason for changing to 15/45, slightly better drive, with more teeth being engaged....? Also less wear due to more teeth spreading the load and less bending of the chain causing less chain stretch.

Wouldn't have thought you would even notice the difference and downside slightly more weight, though again marginal.

Actually I have changed my mind, 14t is quite a small sprocket and changing to 15t will help with component wear a lot, if it fits change to 15/45.
