The 10 baht bottled water the captain used to try and extinguish the flames was the insurance lol.

Not being pedantic, but do you drive a boat, command the boat or captain the boat?

Forty five tourists in one of those large speedboats is too many the way they are built. These boats usually have 2 or 3 large outboard engines so there would be no engine room.....maybe there was a spark around the fuel tank area. All boats carrying passengers here should have mandatory safety inspections once a year.

Steer or pilot?

Much more interesting than the article.

Funny!!!! Mandatory bribes to the inspectors every year methinks.

The cigarette was held carefully outside the edge of the boat, since smoking on the Vessel isnt permitted. So that cant be the cause of the fire!

You can Drive it Steer it or Skipper it ,A /Boat/Ship

"the fire engine was unable to get to the boat" I guess you have to give them credit for trying. At least they didn't sink the fire engine clap2.gif
