November 16, 201510 yr Anyone know anyone who sells biltong spice? I'm trying to make my own biltong and need some to cure the meat. For the uninitiated biltong is a South African dried meat, like a savoury delicacy. I'd like to try and source it locally rather than go through the hassle of procuring it internationally if I can. If anyone can help, give me a shout.
November 16, 201510 yr No, I do not know where to buy the spices. But perhaps this might get you started with finding it or just buying premade biltong here. https://www.facebook.com/BkkBiltong
November 16, 201510 yr Just use salt, pepper and coriander seed. That is the basic and you can add anything else you want for taste. You will need a dryer to counter the humidity. Good luck! Have a great day
