I am from USA and just got a new passport in Bangkok (old passport expiring). In my old passport I'm on a tourist visa (60 days) + a 30 day visa extension.

I've read that if you have an extension of stay you have to go to immigration to get this moved to the new passport. Is this true for a tourist visa extension? Or can I just bring both passports to the airport?

You show both passports on departure from the country no need to go to immigration to get the stamps transferred.
