londoedan
Hotel prices are off the charts. No they're not. Plenty of hotels available via Agoda for Dec /Jan at v.reasonable prices. Some up a bit but plenty of others.
JHolmesJr
Tropo, you can buy just about anything in thailand. Except a sense of humour. Cheers. LOL A person who doesn't find you funny has no sense of humour. You're no comedian. Cheers Yea, sorry cobber, I don't watch the benny hill show. Some up a bit but plenty of others. Nothing exceptional, just the usual routine. Lifting the prices by "season table" whether heavy booked or not. A cheap place in Soi Lengkee was 800 Baht in September. For Dec 8 they want 940. For Dec 15 onward they want 1250. At this level it does not hurt that much, but if you add a zero? All the mid-ranged hotels I know of here lift the rate to high season rate on November 1 each year. It's just tradition as far as I can see. Nothing happens on November 1. Even if you're staying for say 3 weeks, starting in October to early November, the November days will be charged at high season rate.
