dominique355
We had rats not only around the house but even that in the kitchen. Nothing worked. Then we got first 2 cats then a 3rd one. No more rats. Our cats did not come from a pet shop nor do they have a pedigree. We rather got them for free from some locals living above the canal. They love hunting and stalking incl. sometimes birds. But mostly rats and lizards. No more rats. Still lots of birds and very few lizards.

otherstuff1957
I used to have a rat problem, but my furry purring anti-rat device has proven to be 100% effective.
geriatrickid
ignore them, they were here before humans and they will be here after. they don't cause epedemics but they can possibly be a vector... luckily we got meds for that now, ignore them. Epidemics like the Bubonic Plague ? Wake up daoyai ! Not likely and you are overly dramatic. Worry about dengue and malaria and the TB epidemic no one wants you to know about. You are more likely to contract a food borne illness than the plague.
dirtycash
cats do not scare rats ... ive seen rats and cats feeding from the same bin bags in kao san road in bkk. rats would probably kill the cats, i dont believe for a minute tht rats are scared of cats ive witnessed it many times in bkk. i have a video of it in my files here but i cant copy and paste it here for some reason. buy a good terrier. autanic
Ask anyone who works in a warehouse. The best bait for catching rats are little polystyrene packing material. They can't resist it. They eat it, sleep in it and well <deleted>> in it too.
