BANGKOK, 3 December 2015 (NNT) - The head of the Office of Police Forensic Science has expressed his satisfaction with the performance of forensic teams across the country, noting however that agencies still lack modern forensic equipment.

Forensic teams conducted demonstrations of their work at the forensic science headquarters as part of a policy to survey the readiness of teams across the country.

Commander of the Office of Police Forensic Science Pol Lt Gen Manu Mekmok remarked that special forensics task force will work in hand with the Police General Hospital.

He expressed his satisfaction in the demonstration, but added that the team will be able to expedite their operations should they be equipped with the most modern equipment.

I am really quite surprised, I thought this guy would be a little more objective and would identify any weaknesses in the system then.......hahaha, no I didn't. Good point! What's worse is that most thais, upon reading this, will actually believe it to be fact. It is like telling a health agency to go out and test a neighborhood to see how may people are infected with a disease. When the agent goes out he only tests the healthiest looking people so his results will show his neighborhood is the healthiest. Without infection. Whether it to be true or not no one will know and everyone will believe it because his report will state all those people he tested. This happened in my neighborhood already when they came to check for dengue fever. Utter nonsense yet, in Thailand they accept it all.

Well of coruse the head of the forensic teams is happy with his department's performance. If you ask

any manager/boss/chief of any Dept. of anything, he/she will say we are doing GREAT ! I reviewed my own performance as a husband and rated myself " OUTSTANDING " but my wife, after her laughter
