Not sure if that can help you for this topic. Not myself directly but my friend who is working with me. This is not a story such as "I heard...or I was told...". She just got her METV yesterday in the Thai Embassy in Yangon. She is Kenyan national. She work in Myanmar and on Multiple Entry Myanmar business visa.

You might know that Kenyan passport cannot get visa exempt, nor visa on arrival. For Myanmar, even with a multiple entry business, you are required to go out of the country every 70 days (visa run). So, it is not convenient for her as every 70 days, she needed to apply for a Thai tourist visa at the embassy just to go and back for her Myanmar visa run.

The requirements (as stated in the embassy) for the METV at the Thai Embassy in Yangon are:

- six months of validity passport

- Myanmar residence permit (Permanent Residency)

- Bank Statements (at least 200,000 bahts or equivalent)

- Employment letter from company

- Round Trip Plane ticket (at least for the first trip)

- Hotel reservation (at least for the first trip)

* 200 USD, 6 months valid, not exceeding 60 days for each stay in Thailand

She met the requirements. As for the Myanmar permanent residency, they considered her employment letter + her Myanmar business visa.

She applied before yesterday and got it yesterday.
