Featured Replies

Hi

thanks in advance.

That was a short (but successful) thread smile.png

If you want one to apply for a drivers license or register a vehicle the tourist police will sign and stamp a form for you

Immigration will not do a certificate for those reasons without a form form the DLT.

Maybe this Immigration Office doesn't issue a letter of residence for thai drivers lisence or for buing a vehicle, but every Immigration Office I know of will do so.

Your Ambassy and the local police station will issue a letter of residence. The "yellow book" is also a Letter of Residence.

It looks like this (from the Immigration Office)

Are you renting or do you live in your wifes / girlfriends house?

I rent on my own . Alone

This is the paper work the Immigration Office normally wants. (2 copies)

1. Blue Book of the house you are renting.

2. Blue Book of the owners house.

3. ID-card of the owner.

4. Passport (picture, Non Immigrant Visa and immigration card)

5. 2 pictures.

My advice is to bring with you the owner to the Immigration Office. Sometimes the officers can be a little bit difficult.
