Overstaying in another country

Featured Replies

Hello, I would like to find employment in Thailand, but I'm worried that I would be denied entry because I overstayed my visa by 10 days in another Asian country. How probable is that? I didn't get a stamp that bans me from re-entering that country, but I got a visa that permited me to stay for only 10 days so everyone can see that I overstayed. Can my history of oversaying in another country influence my ability to get a visa to Thailand? Do you think it is still possible for me to get work permit if I find a job in Thailand? I would appreciate any advice.

Nothing is certain in this world.

But I doubt the Thai authorities would look for, let alone be concerned about an overstay (particularly a short overstay) in another country.

You'll likely have no problems.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

It has nothing to do with Thailand and the issue was resolved.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Considering people overstay in Thailand by YEARS and are allowed back in a day or two after they leave, I highly doubt you will have any problems.
