Border Run Question Needing Answer

Featured Replies

Looking at doing a border run soon. I'm on a multi entry Non B visa

Was thinking this time I might just cross over at Laos and then head back.

After I cross the Thai side of the border, am I required to pass through Laos immigration and get a Laos visa or can I just turn around and go back through Thai immigration?

I really can't be arsed spending the weekend in Laos and I'd much rather do a quick 180 and head home or hang out in Udon or Nong Khai.

So whats the answer on this?

You MUST enter another country , which involves "passing through immigration" before returning to Thailand.

There is no requirement for you to stay longer than it takes to enter and exit that country.

Must pay for visa and pass.

Laos I believe is at least 1 night stopover hand in paperwork on day 1 collect next day .

You must have missed the fact that the OP has a multi entry Non B visa !

He is not required to stay overnight !
