Transfer from your overseas account to your Thai account. The go to the Thai Bank and ask them for a Tor Tor 3 for the funds you just transferred in and tell them its for buying a condo. Use the Tor Tor 3 forms at the Land Office when transferring the tittle deed to your name. Tor Tor 3 makes its easy when or if you ever want to repatriate your funds.

Tor Tor 3 no longer exists. It's a "Foreign Exchange Transaction Certificate" that one needs.

Open a foreign currency account at Bangkok Bank (it is the only one I have any experience with) and bring the funds in as dollars, pounds, etc. Convert want you need into Bhat and get a letter of credit from the bank.

If you have a bank in the USA (or, UK, I believe) and have online banking you can transfer funds to a Bangkok Bank savings account in Thailand using the domestic USA (or UK?) inter-bank system.

I have bank and brokerage accounts in USA and when I initiate an online transfer from them to my Thailand Bangkok Bank account, the funds are here in Thailand within two business days. Usually Bangkok Bank will call to advise the transfer has arrived and ask if you want to convert the funds to THB. If you feel like you can time the currency market and feel lucky, you can tell them to wait to convert the funds to THB, I think.
