Cabinet delivers progress report on tourism & human trafficking policies

BANGKOK, 23 December 2015 (NNT) -- The government has released its progress report on tourism and human trafficking policies.

Deputy Prime Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn delivered the government’s progress report for culture, tourism and sports policies, revealing that tourism in 2015 generated revenue of 2 billion Baht with 29 million visitors, exceeding the government’s target. He remarked that Thailand is highly regarded as a premiere destination and is visited for its cultural uniqueness.

Delivering the report on the government’s policies on suppressing human trafficking activities and assisting low income families was Deputy Prime Minister Adm Narong Pipatanasai, who detailed the policies conducted by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The Ministry has despatched officials to inspect areas prone to human trafficking activities, assisted slums and low income communities by providing shelter to over 4 million homeless families and 2 million families living in unsuitable conditions. In addition, the Cabinet has unveiled its policy to assist infants born in low income families by providing qualified families with a stipend of 400 Baht per month.

Really! I'd love to see more details on this phenomenal feat. Right now these are just words.
