No, don't laugh, this is serious.

I had a few health problems over the past two years regarding mid and lower abdomen that required some sonar scans. The doctor at the Chinese hospital I visited told me that my intestines seemed to be full of "Poo Poo" (His description)

Well I am a regular sort of person and drop a reasonable log every morning almost same time every day, sometime I can drop two over an 8 hour period.

I don't eat that much, sometimes one meal a day is enough depending what it is.

I have been feeling a little bloated the last two days but no pain or anything like that, just a full up feeling in my lower abdomen.

I ate a shedfull of Som Oh (I think it is Pomello) yesterday and woke up this morning with the need to go a bit more pronounced than usual.

Well, this is where the strangeness began. The first "movement" consisted of a rather dark brown item ( colour I put down to drinking red wine) However this snake was almost a foot long and at least two inches in diameter.

Feeling better I got on with the morning. Within ten minutes I had to revisit the porcelain, another foot or more of the same!

Over a 1 hour period I had to carry out the same dumping 6 times, seriously, I must have unloaded over 6 foot of long fat brown snakes. Then about 2 hours later another 4 rather slacker releases followed, they were still dark brown but not of any weight or consistency.

Afternoon saw another 2 drops of what can only be described as something you find in a baby nappy with a bit of green coriander leaves floating around.

Thing is, I feel really good, belly is no longer bloated, stomach feels nice and tight.

Any idea what is going on? Can the body sort of "Retain" old turds or something and have they just been released? I would appreciate a sensible answer, it is a genuine question. I don't eat red meat, only pork and chicken, not a lot of fat, a fair bit of veggies but probably not enough, not much fruit or fibre.

I was just curious as to what might be in Som Oh that would cause this huge evacuation. I have eaten an entire huge Som Oh tonight to see if there is the same effect tomorrow, here's waiting!

Are you positive you still have all of your internal organs;

Kidneys, Liver, Heart, lungs ?

Likely you were holding that crud for years.....probably full of toxins and heavy metals...eat more fiber every day, less fried food and less fat...especially cheese which clogs up the pipes like margarine in a sink drain.

You might be right, but the only thing I did different was eat a lot of Som Oh, I wouldn't have thought it contained that much fibre that it would remove two metres of old crap. I get your point about the margarine in the drains, we had that here too so the metaphor is understandable, however it didn't come out white thick and like a brick, it seemed like a normal movement, just kept on going for an hour.

See what happens with the Som Oh tommorrow. By the way, do you know what would be good to eat to make sure all of the old crud would eventually disappear? i.e, a good spring clean of the intestines? Thanks for the info by the way, appreciated.

I am a bit worried that if it keeps on going like this I will find Prayuth in the bowl singing "Because We Are Thailand" .... A terrible thought.

A nice big bowl of oatmeal every morning and some fresh papaya. In a week your insides will be as clean as the floor at Wat Arun.

what a bunch a shit

No honestly, this is a serious question. I was told ages ago that I was "Clogged Up" but there was no remedy or medication given, they just left it at that. It is a bit worrying that you can have regular bowel movements everyday yet still seem to be vlocked up inside.

If you are blocked up with old crap, then surely this is dangerous? Imagine having a 10 year old pizza stuck in your guts?

I'm surprised this hasn't been labelled as a troll stool post already. wink.png

Mate, it is not a trolling post, I am asking a serious question. a few years back i nearly died from an abdominal problem, pancreas. The doctor said he could not ultra sound the pancreas or bile ducts properly as their was so much crap in my intestines. Seems today some of that has moved, all I was asking was for an honest opinion from a qualified Doctor as to why it moves and how to clear all the old crud out. Nothing more, if you don't like the post, don't reply, just ignore it... not difficult, it isn't a subject that would interest most people so better stay away eh!

Cheers, I recall reading about some of these obese Americans having like 20Lb of red Hamburger meat stuck in their colon and guts for years,

You would be surprised my friend, their are quite a lot of Doctors floating around on this forum, I have had advice from some great Doctors over the past ten or more years, and OK some might be pissheads, but there are a lot of guys on here that know their stuff. Don't be so quick to judge. You can get excellent medical advice here!

Yes in the Health forum not in the general one,it's full of beer swigging West Ham fans like me.

Also the delivery of your opening post and diction you used reminds me of sitting in the tea shack offshore.

Maybe a more tactile choice of words would invite more serious replies.

Good luck in your quest to becoming unblocked.

Thai women love that ...red blooded American male meat. Just the meat is bovine in this case.

Apologies Menzies233 i wasnt saying it was a troll post, just trying to make a little joke.

But as you had a near death experience in he past from abdominal pain i can see that this is no joke for you.

I've experienced as i'm sure many have similiar abnormal bowel movements as yourself and wondered where it all came from?? I'm sure your worrying over nothing, hope its just a stomach bug.

When the doctors said that you were clogged up didnt they recommend a clean out at the time?

PS If your worried about having a 10 year old pizza stuck in yer gut, next time you order ask for it to be cut into 12 pieces instead of 6 for easier digestion and bowel movements (or add extra chillies) thumbsup.gif

Pomelo indeed can help cleanse the intestines. Since you just detox today, tomorrow's output won't be as much as today's. Happy pooping!

Saved yourself the cost of a colonic irrigation by the sounds of things.

Som tum or papaya everyday will have your insides cleaned out.

You might also want to consider a good probiotic.

Barley is highly recommended for keeping the bowel clean and helping to prevent bowel cancer. I don't fancy porridges and the like so I have thick chicken barley soup for breakfast. Barley needs a fair bit of cooking to soften it up.

Pre-Soaking barley overnight helps in cooking time....also you can make a great barley risotto if you cook it in chicken broth, add mushrooms, and a little white wine...just add enough stock each time until it cooks down ...keep adding stock until it reaches desired done-ness.

Aviod sticky rice. My Thai family love it but always get bunged up after and complain, but go back for more. GF has finally quit sticky rice, she can get blocked for days after consuming it.

I don't eat it as it lays like a lump in my stomach.

What was in the pomelo was what your normal diet lacks -- fiber. Enabling you to eliminate the feces that had accumulated due to sluggish bowel. That you have a daily movement doesn't mean everything is coming out.

Start eating more fiber on a daily basis. Oatmeal, prunes (available at every supermarket), high fiber cold cereal like Kellogs all bran, fresh fruits.

Sheryl, what vegetables are high in fiber?

Posted

Pumpkin (not sure a vegetable or a fruit?)

Squash

Pretty much all dark green vegetables -- pak bung, broccoli and the borccoli-like Thai veggie (forget its name)

Carrots

Dark lettuces

Beans are also high in fiber

A daily salad made with darker lettuces (i.e. not iceberg), carrots, sprouts, tomatoes, beans is full of fiber as well as vitamins and minerals

Breakfasts of muesli made with rolled oats, yogurt and berries, or all bran cereal topped with berries, also great in terms of fiber

Posted

Also one of the highest fiber fruits (5 x the amount in pomelo) is Guava...available everywhere in Thailand. Green variety they call it 'farang'.
