Question about construction/rennovation

Hi all...

We're looking to turn a small bathroom and a small closet into one bigger bathroom. Best I can tell, this would involve:

-knocking out one wall

-some tile work

-some plumbing work

-maybe some electrical work

Do any of you have experience with this sort of thing? Do you have recommendations on a trustworthy builder to do it? Any estimates on cost? Thanks!

Best if you get all the materials yourself, and let the builder just quote on the labor cost.

Especially the stuff you'd want to pick out yourself anyway like taps, tiles, etc.

Home Sukkaphan is a good place for tiles and other stuff you find in bathrooms. On the Middle Ring in between Payap and the Doi Saket Road.

Probably best to look for others having/had work done - ask them if happy with the contractor - ask the contractor for an estimate with your paying for materials (as you will likely want better quality).

The wall is not supporting? Normally they are not with local cement construction but you need to be sure. Is floor cement/tile in closet area or will it require new floor/supports (if second story)?

As said normally each item will be done by different person - especially tile and electric.

I recently had a bedroom extended in Bangkok to make new bathroom and a bit more room in bedroom and total cost was about 100k including about 10 meters of single block wall (one wall in place). Contract price was about 68k including door/window/vent and about 5 electric connections/water at three points/drain/tile counter/walls/floor and painting/ceiling. We provided fixtures and tile.
