Rwandan President Paul Kagame to seek a third term in 2017

Rwandan President Paul Kagame says he intends to seek a third term in office.

Changes to the constitution, adopted in December, mean Kagame can rule until 2034 if he continues to win at the ballot box.

The constitutional changes were put to a referendum and won the backing of 98 percent of those that voted.

Rwanda goes to the polls in 2017.

Kagame was elected president in 2000, but has unofficially led the country since his rebel force marched into the capital Kigali following the Rwandan Genocide in 1994.==

Rwanda goes to the polls in 2017.

Donald Trump should be free by then. Maybe he can offer his campaign expertise to an opposition candidate and show them how to turn an election into a real 3-ring circus.
