What product do you use here in Thailand to get rid of the worms ? I mentioned , she's pregnant , so safe for the unborn too.

Can you buy it at pet stores ? I already asked at my pharmacy but they only have products for humans.

Thanks

You need to find a pet supply shop. There are plenty of products in Thailand, you will need to google the active ingredient (written in English, always) to see about cats awaiting a happy event.

Well I did my online research , but not specific to Thailand.

Praziquantel is for animals & humans , but so many side effects and not for kittens (and young children) younger than 6 weeks so no preggo's.

What I read here on previous posts is to avoid Ivermectin.

Thanks ! Seems I have to wait for the kittens to come out first because of some of the ingredients , and they will have the worms too.

We use Armecide for ticks on the dogs and also for when both the dogs and cats have worms.

It's easy to mix into wet food and doesn't have a strong taste. Our cats are picky eaters but we find they eat their food normally.

One sachet is enough for four cats and the worms clear up. We found they get worms from eating lizards, toads and other assorted wildlife.

I went to town today (Phrae) , and in 3 big petshops they had nothing. I found one veterinarian and he had only 1 little bottle . Looked like self made , all in Thai (80 B) and he said it was Albendazole. Not for preggies either.

Asked him for sterlisation , he only takes out the overies 1600 B , He keeps cat for a week...after care and to give anti-biotics. (because Thai don't understand after care --he said). Back home you take the cat home same day , but keep it inside the house for 2 weeks. Can't keep my stray cat inside for a week. Male cats 1000 B. Not really confident in that vet.

@Schondie , how do you use such a pack for only one cat ?

The vet you visited sounds like a load of crap. Most of the local vets are and many are not even qualified.

Try to find a animal hospital in your area that has proper qualified vets who know what they`re doing. Otherwise all you can do is let nature take it`s course, wait till the kittens are born and treat accordingly.
