Heavy bag for workout practice.

I'm looking for a shop that sells heavy bags for martial art training. I checked a Muay Thai shop on Loi Kroh, but the bag they are selling had too many seams.

Anyone who is into martial arts, Muay Thai, or boxing know of a place to purchase a good, seamless heavy bag in Chiang Mai.

TIA.

Check out the sporting goods store in Promenada. They have a fair selection. Even standing "bags" shaped like a person. They have, I think, two different faces with different expressions.

Plus the regular stuff. But they're not giving them away....prepare to dig deep.

In my experience finding martial arts/boxing equipment in Chiang Mai is not a lot of variety and hard to order. I have purchased from the big name stores and from Tae Kwon Do schools. I just had to look around. Mostly, if I remembered seeing something I wanted, upon returning to the store it was sold and I was unable to order.

I did find this online for Everlast and there is supposed to be one of their branches at the 700 Year Stadium I think. I have telephoned the Chiang Mai location, but I have not been to the store. http://www.sportsmaax.com/index.php?lay=show&ac=cat_showcat&l=2&cid=92520

I would suggest looking at what you buy. Now many things are of lesser quality than I expected, so I have to check very good before I commit to purchasing.

You could also look at FBT Sports online then order from them. They have brand name equipment. I have had to bank transfer money or send the a scan of a deposit to their bank account then they ship quickly. http://www.fbtsports.com/index.html

If you just want a hanging heavy bag, there are lots of those around in the mall stores that have sports departments as has been suggested already. They have bags already filled and empty bags.

Yeah, the prices on some things that are reasonable in the US can be pretty steep here. Thanks for the info! thumbsup.gif I'll check them out.
