PHUKET -- Phuketians will be able to celebrate Thailand Children’s Day (January 9) in style by attending the many events planned for the island.

This is celebrated each and every year on the second Saturday of January.

In Thai it is known as “Wan Dek” and the day is celebrated with the children having fun with various activities arranged by both Government agencies and private businesses.

Phuket is of course no different and many Government offices, hotels etc will hold special events to celebrate this special day.
