Hi-so girls are a tough nut to crack. They're traditional and they're not. Their families are typically pretty conservative, but they can also come across as above certain traditions bc they have way more money than the commoners. Some of them are somewhat rebellious and free spirited too. Also, independent minded women might not like the way Thai men treat them and may look to foreigners for love. The same girls could be inclined to go dutch or pay for you here and there. Some of them like to show off and will offer to pay all the time.

That being said, in the five years Ive lived here, I've rarely seen a foreigner with a girl that looked like Ploy Chermarn or Chompoo Araya. In fact, I can't think of a single instance. Your strategy might work on the 7s and 8s. Ive been out with girls that said they wanted to talk to a guy simply bc they saw other girls talking to him. But the 9s and 10s are kinda aloof and seem like they want guys that are willing to chase them. Honestly, just think about what hi-so girls are like back home and that's pretty much what you get with the ones here.
