JAS21
I seem to remember a sticky of Thai-English useful motoring terms. Does anyone know what happened to it ... have a copy ...or should we knock another one up. I am quite happy to coordinate the production of another list and then pass to a mod for approval. Maybe someone could start a new topic and list what is needed with or without translation and Mrs J would attempt to translate/check ... just an offer which she doesn't know that she has made yet .... JohnC
Thanks, that's what I was afraid of! The vehicle is registered in Pratchanburi!

Well if you don't want to drive to Pratchanburi you could "move it" to Chonburi Province but to do that you'll have to goto the Chonburi DLT actually in Chonburi city Chon Buri Transport Office or go talk to the people at the vehicle testing centers displaying this sign they may be able to pull some strings or get Chonburi plates for you with no headaches for yourself. KhunBENQ
The DLT (Department of Land Transport) website had been completely restructured some time ago with all old links broken. There are three new links to English info about driving licenses. Unfortunately with misc errors (wrong title, bring "invalid" license etc.pp.) Convert foreign license: https://www.dlt.go.th/en/renew-license/ Extend from 2 year to 5 year license and 5 year to 5 year: https://www.dlt.go.th/en/two-year-license/ Get a Thai IDP: https://www.dlt.go.th/en/international-driving-licence/

These places are for the yearly check and to extend the registration. They'll send you to the Land Transport Department.
