US, Iran forge new relationship as nuke deal advances

Iran violates the deal and slaps America in the face by detaining our soldiers. Obama does absolutely nothing about it. THAT is the new relationship. bah.gif

I wonder what the good-ole USA would have done if an Iranian warship had accidently drifted into American territorial waters .......

Good wonder. I don't know. Whatever they would do, they wouldn't do a propaganda humiliation show as put on by the Islamo-fascist state terror sponsor regime of Iran.

If a disabled Iranian ship drifted into US waters, the US Navy would help solve their problems and send them on their way.

If it was an unintentional navigation error, the US Navy would escort them back to international waters.

If it was an invasion fleet consisting of two very small patrol boats and ten sailors (one of which was female) they would be taken into custody, fed well and handed over to their own diplomats.

Then the very likely US Navy reaction would be...cheesy.gif

You dont think the US navy would had investigated to determine if indeed it was a "navigational error" before they send then on their way?

Knowing hundreds of retired and current active duty US Navy personnel, I honestly believe, in my own opinion and heart of hearts, the lack of navigational skills of an Iranian seaman would surprise none of them.

They would accept it at face value...but might send a couple of F-18s from the nearest Carrier battle group to see them safely home.

      Thank you for your laudation of the Primitivo variety of Italian red wines. I have currently seven different brands of Primitivo in my cellar where I live in northern Italy, of which three are from Puglia but, alas, none is a Polvanera 17. If the number 17 in the brand name is the vintage, that mekes it 2017, ideal to drink now. Did anthing come of the talk about reducing or abolishing import duty and/or exise tax on imported alcoholic beverages in Thailand to attract more high-spending tourists? At what price does the Polvanera 17 Primitivo currently sell in Thailand? Where can it be bought?

      I am angry after seeing videos of Israelis celebrating the death of the Hezbollah leader the other day. I am angry that Israel thinks it can do whatever it likes without the consequences other countries would have. I'm angry about all the Israeli propaganda and how some think Israelis don't want Netanyahu in power, when he in fact represents the psyche of the Israeli people. He's been Democratically elected for how many years? USS Bulkeley (DDG-84) and USS Cole (DDG-67) fired about a dozen interceptors at Iranian missiles fired at Israel, the Pentagon said last Tuesday. The two destroyers are independently deployed and are in the Eastern Mediterranean. USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72) is operating in the Gulf of Oman. USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) will be on station in the the Eastern Mediterranean. The sad reality is that aside from the tacit support of the UK and indirect support of France, the USA stands alone in protecting the west from Iranian belligerence.       Are you angry that Israel has managed to defend its people against the missile attacks? Israel has invested in protecting its people and advancing community development. Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas have invested in personal corruption and violence. Yes, many Arabs have died as a result of the war. Perhaps if the Arabs did not locate their munition depots, command and control locations and missile firing sites in large population zones, the casualty count would be lower. Why do you think, Hamas located a munitions depot in a school, or a command center in a hospital basement, or missile firing site in a residential building? There is no such thing as a "civilian" for them. Israeli civilians are targets to be killed or captured. Arab civilians are potential martyrs to be used in a propaganda war. One of the goals is to have as many mass casualty outcomes as possible so that the propaganda can condemn Israel. Perhaps one day you will be as vociferous for the 75,000+ Africans mass murdered in the Darfur by Islamic militias, or maybe even speak out on behalf of the 12 Druze children killed by an intentionally fired Hezbollah missile.
