BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said he will be visiting Nakhon Sawan and Chai Nat provinces on January 22 to inspect the drought situation.

He said he will follow up on the implementation of all projects which the government has initiated and to listen to the problems of the people in order to help find suitable solutions for those in need.

The two provinces ate reported to be hard hit by drought.

The prime minister said all measures to fight drought this year have been placed and are ready to go in action.

He also said that in order to effectively handle drought problem, Thailand needs to overhaul the entire water management system, including the expansion of the water pipeline network, According to the NNT.

In case that the expansion requires high cost, repair and maintenance work may be an alternative.

But it was important for the government to also create public awareness about the issue and its solution as there remain people who have been trying to distort fact and information, he said.

I wonder if the band can play "All Hail To The Chief" when he arrives. With 99.3% approval he should get the rose petal treatment as well.

So not ready now for action.

Haven't they suffered enough?

But wait, there's more;

"But it was important for the government to also create public awareness about the issue and its solution as there remain people who have been trying to distort fact and information, he said."

This guy and Tony Cartalucci must have been separated at birth - is there any situation that reflects badly on the military "government" that is not being supposedly manipulated by unseen hands, usually a not so subtle reference to Lord Voldemort na Dubai?

Groovy. Folks in NS get to see the 2 km long motorcade. I'm sure that will warm their cockles.
