Re entry stamp at swampy. Non O Visa expired

Featured Replies

I have a non O visa based on marraige from Savanakhet. I entered on the 29th Dec. The visa expired on 13 Jan but am stamped in until April.

I am leaving for work on the 24th for 28 days and would like to use the visa on return as I have still have the stamp in until April.

Can I get the re entry stamp at Swampy as I exit at Immigration to get my flight?

I dont want to come back in on a visa exempt. I will then go back to Savannakhet for another non O.

Thanks

You can get a single re-entry permit to keep the 90 day entry valid.

You can do it at Suv (bkk) 24 hours a day on departure from the country.. I suggest you take a photo with you for the application form.

Hi Ubon

Is it through immigration or before? If before do you know the location? Can the form be downloaded and completed first....just to save some time.

You may want to verify that the calculation of your admitted until stay date was done correctly. By by reckoning, if you entered on December 29 and were given 90 days, your permission to stay should only be until March 27. If the IO made a mistake, it is up to you to get it corrected.

From report the desk is just before the desks on the left after you get off the escalator. The is in normal departure area not the fast track one.

They fill on the form and print it normally. You could have it filled out. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm8.pdf

  • If your current permission to stay finishes in March there is little point in buying a re-entery permit (1,000 baht) as you can have a free 30 day visa exempt entry.
  • Note that your non 'O' entry or a new visa exempt entry can be extended by 60 days at immigration office for 1,900 baht if you want to delay the trip to Savannakhet.

Leaving on the 24th of this month and returning in 28 days. He would have more than 30 days remaining on his entry when he re-entered the country. Makes sense to me.

No worry about being questioned on entry would also be another factor.
