Parking lot building for 700 vehicles to be constructed in old Rattanakosin city

BANGKOK, 21 January 2016 (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan chaired the first meeting of the Committee for Preservation and Development of Rattanakosin City and Old City in 2016 at Government House.

The meeting discussed ways and means to organize traffic and build a parking lot and footpaths to provide conveniences to motorists, pedestrians and tourists in the old Rattanakosin city area.

Also at issue was the construction of a parking lot building to accommodate 700 vehicles at Nakkharaphirom Park. The construction project is yet to be submitted to the cabinet for approval.

The traffic police and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration had jointly considered the plan and already organized some bus stops in the old city area.

so let us consider how we can enhance the preservation of the old city - I know.. let us build a new car park for 700 cars to attract more vehicles to drive in the old city.
