Woman confesses to abusing 2-year-old child according to Pattaya Police

PATTAYA -- As the funeral proceedings continue for the 2-year-old boy who is suspected of being abused prior to his death, the daughter of the shopkeeper who had been caring for the child since November has confessed to harming the child and is presumed to be responsible for his death.

Security ramped up at Phuket piers

PHUKET: -- In an effort to ramp up security on the island, all passengers arriving or leaving via one of the island’s piers must show have their passport or ID card recorded via CCTV Phuket Governor has announced.

Commerce Ministry spokesman: US GSP review unrelated to ex-Minister's travel restriction

Gen Prawit says EU satisfied and gives Thailand more time to address IUU fishing

BANGKOK: The European Union has told Thailand to carry on with addressing the IUU (illegal, unreported, unregulated) fishing problem without giving a deadline on when the problem is going to be resolved, said Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan on Friday.
