PATTAYA -- As the funeral proceedings continue for the 2-year-old boy who is suspected of being abused prior to his death, the daughter of the shopkeeper who had been caring for the child since November has confessed to harming the child and is presumed to be responsible for his death.

Khun Wunwisar aged 26, was questioned by Police on Friday and confessed to hitting the child on numerous occasions, especially when the child cried. She described how, out of frustration, she hit the child’s head against a wall and if the child cried whilst being showered, she would strike him with a plastic container normally used to bathe with.

Some might dismiss it as inconsequential cos its all just karma, and suffering, and blah.

Not me guv. If all that mystic stuff is real, then leave it as the last resort, backstop, safety valve. Before you get to that, do your best effort to improve things...so improve education, parenting skills, social welfare etc etc...so don't dismiss it as inconsequential karma stuff.

Two years old!!!!!!

PATTAYA: Chonburi provincial police have arrested a couple soon after they stopped their scheduled funeral of a 2-year-old boy following an intervention by the Paveena Hongsakul Foundation on suspicion that the boy might die from serious abuse.

Mrs Paveena Hongsakul, chairwoman of the foundation, immediately rang up Chonburi’s Bang Lamung district police chief to stop the funeral of the boy at a temple after his mother came to her foundation on Wednesday seeking for help in investigating the death of her son whom she hired a babysitter in Bang Lamung to take care of at 200 baht per day.

The mother, whose name was withheld for legal reason, told Mrs Paveena that she suspected that she hired the couple to help take care of her son at 200 baht per day and she would only come occasionally to pick up her son to stay for a short time.

But on January 16, she received a phone call by the couple that her son was sick and was unconscious and was in hospital.

When she rushed to the hospital, doctor told her that the kid died before arriving at hospital.

The hospital conducted autopsy of the kid and found bleeding in his brain tissue, and chilly grains in the digestive system.

The finding indicated that the boy might be abused by his babysitters.

Immediately after her story was told, Mrs Paveena then contacted the chief of Bang Lamung police and asked him to stop the funeral scheduled on January 20.

The police later questioned the couple who later confessed to assaulting the kid.

The couple admitted to bang the kid’s head to the ground and forced him to eat chilly until he became unconscious.

They then rushed him to hospital.

The police have sent the body of the kid to hospital for autopsy in order to file charge against the couple.
