Cambodian authorities yesterday arrested two suspected South Korean drug traffickers at the Poipet border in Banteay Meanchey.

Lee Tachwa and Kim In Bae were arrested at the request of South Korea. Both men are wanted by Interpol for international drug smuggling. They are being held at the Ministry of Interior’s anti-drug trafficking department until they can be extradited, according to Khiev Samorn, the department’s director.

“Our department has requested help from the immigration police to arrest those two,” said Samorn. He did not say whether authorities found drugs on the suspects at the time of arrest.
