taxexile
airplane ( the autopilot floating around the cabin ), life of brian ( biggus dickus ) are two of my favourites. some of the earlier "carry on " films seem to improve with age. so corny , but that peculiarly british style of delivery as practised by that ensemble is just priceless. a fish called wanda ( the squashed dogs) is always worth a re run too. Insight
Airplane also for me. "I've got a drinking problem" was a classic joke... The Meaning Of Life is also a winner.

Galong
Weird Science ain't my favorite, but I didn't see it here. :-) I've acquired a copy of Napolean Dynamite that if you turn on the English subtitles it suddenly get very funny. The talented English teacher turn pirate knows about 20 words. One of the is the F word. Dude, it's used in almost every sentence in ways that even I never thought of!! kayo
Being There with Peter Sellers, and most of the Pink Panther filmsWoody Allen has also made some verr funny movies but also some very dire ones. Peter Sellers. The Party was brilliant, but the Pink Panther Movies were Better. We..he..heh..heh..ell..... to paraphrase Sellers; In terms of actual movie making though, I will stick with Sellers, for he was in Kubrick's Masterpiece of Comedy: How I learned to Dr. Strangelove or How I learnt to stop worrying and love the bomb President Merkin Muffley: Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room. [strangelove's plan for post-nuclear war survival involves living underground with a 10:1 female-to-male ratio] General "Buck" Turgidson: Doctor, you mentioned the ratio of ten women to each man. Now, wouldn't that necessitate the abandonment of the so-called monogamous sexual relationship, I mean, as far as men were concerned? Dr. Strangelove: Regrettably, yes. But it is, you know, a sacrifice required for the future of the human race. I hasten to add that since each man will be required to do prodigious... service along these lines, the women will have to be selected for their sexual characteristics which will have to be of a highly stimulating nature. Ambassador de Sadesky: I must confess, you have an astonishingly good idea there, Doctor. and so much more. Kubrick & Sellers (& Blake Edwards) R.I.P. and thanks for all the laughs.
