I will landing at SVB from Philippines with the 30 days visa exemption.

I have plenty of credit card, but I will don't bring cash.

What if it happening that the Immigration Officer request to see cash money as proof of funds, can I told him that I've credit card and I can make a withdraw to the ATM, to show him the money ?

Unless you have a history of several visa exempt entries you probably will not be asked to show the cash.

If needed I think would allow you go to an ATM machine to get it.

That is an interesting thought. With Kasikorn Bank, you can print out an account balance statement that you could show to IMM that would indicate as of 5 minutes ago there was in excess of 20K baht in your account. That is, if there is a Kasikorn Bank ATM at the arrival area prior to the IMM booths

... or with any other ATM,just withdraw 100 baht and get an ATM sip that shows your balance as of 5 minutes prior to the IMM line.

Even more interesting is that there are no ATMs airside in Suvarnabuhmi due to transit atm fraud... except one that you need to be the bank customer so to get the money you may need try your luck with money changer, credit card and passport.

It seems obvious that you mean Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Just be sure that when you check in for your flight you don't mention SVB, as otherwise your baggage may be labelled to go to Sambava Airport (SVB) in Madagascar.

OK -- so maybe you can pull ff aprinted ATM receipt with your Thai bank ATM card at an ATM at your departure airport that shows an amount and a date/time shortly before you boarded the airplane

Thera are Kasikorn ATM's just prior to the Immigration.

Thank you. I am a non-frequent flyer these days so I couldn't remember yes or no.

Possible but I wouldn't rely on the Thai Imm. officers being knowledgeable about the exchange rate Pesos to Baht.

Or perhaps some ATMs in Phils. have currency options Pesos or US dollars. A few ATMs have this option in Indonesia.

As long as the amount is on a Thai bank ATM withdrawal with the account number on the slip and you have the ATM card on person it may be worth a shot before cashing out your 20K baht. Up to you or whomever else.

What genuine tourist has a Thai bank account? If it gets to the stage where the IO is asking for proof of funds in a bid to find reasons refuse you entry (they never normally ask) - thats the last thing I'd do is show a thai bank account.

Well I guess it could be any ATM receipt within the last 24 hours or so where the account number on the slip and the number of the ATM card you are carrying are the same ... but as referenced by UJoe above, only someone with a history of several visa exempt entries would really need to be concerned.

I have 3 Thai bank accounts so that's just what came to mind but I could show them the ATM slip pulled from my USA bank accounts as well.

SVB is an airport in Sambava, Madagascar. This is a wrong forum for immigration issues at that place.

Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok has the airport code BKK. If you intend to go to Thailand, I hope you didn't book the ticket to SVB.
