A 4 X 6 cm photo is the correct size. Background color should not matter. The only report of them wanting the background to be blue I have seen is at Chiang Mai immigration.

whistling.gif Where are you applying?

If in Bangkok area at CW immigration, they do the photos on the ground floor, the same shop that does the photocopies.

They will do a packet of 4 photos for 100 Baht.

Takes less than 1 minute.

Chachoengsao, I was there the other day, it's much smaller and a friendly office, than BKK. We have someone in our home town that can help if needed.

Many thanks

Yes they are more friendly there

Can you confirm after you have renewed what they require in the way of paperwork only I have to renew my extension next month

Prior to renewing my retirement extension a few years ago, I did inadvertently obtain photos which were too small. Fortunately they were subsequently still accepted by my local immigration office (Rayong) without question.

However, not wishing to chance my luck again, I subsequently invested in a 6" ruler which I now use to measure the display photos at my local photographer's and point at the one which is nearest to 4cm x 6cm!
