Living in sydney can do funny things to people. I've had friends move there.

If you find ourself doing the air kissing, calling your friends 'daahling' and end up eating at posh, overpriced eateries every night, then you've become a 'sydney <deleted>'.

Only two things to do about it, shoot yourself, or move to Melbourne where you'll gain a greater sense of normality!

Seriously jock....glad to hear it is all working out. Sounds like it has been a dream of yours for a while. And you are right, as a Melbournian it is tough to say, but Sydney is truely a spectacular city.
