BANGKOK — Every ivory shop nationwide must be inspected by the end of March as part of the government’s effort to comply with the international wildlife trafficking agreement CITES, the state-run news bureau reported.

Bangkok opens mobile dental clinic for elderly & physically challenged

BANGKOK, 28 January 2016 (NNT) – The National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand and Bangkok's Health Department have jointly launched a mobile dental clinic for the elderly and the physically challenged.


The mobile dental clinic is one of the projects launched in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 84th birthday anniversary this year. The Council's President, Maj Gen Khunying Assanee Saovapap, presided over the inauguration ceremony.

The clinic is the country’s first mobile medical unit that is fully accessible for the elderly and persons with disabilities, including a wheelchair lift and a dental bed that can swivel 180 degrees. The mobile clinic will be on duty in different areas once a month.
