Visa Procedures In Vietnane?

Featured Replies

Hello

I would like to get a new 60 day single entry visa for Thailand- While staying with Isaan friendls applying at the Thai Empassy in Laos would be a good option due to the close location.

I've arrived in Thailand on a 60 days visa, valid until end of Nov 2006. End of Jan. 2007 I am flying back to Europe for sure. I do not work in Thailand, just travel around.

Does anyone have some experiance with the Thai Embassy in Laos? I am in no rush, even if I need to wait a few days for the new visa there.

I've learned alredy that neither visa agents are welcome at the Laos border or embassy nor the the officers in the Thai Vientienne Embassy are especially awarded for friendlyness.

Thank yoiu for any useful information.

Regards, Tom

The Embassy in Vientiane was one of the first in the area to start marking passports with warnings not to return for another visa. Believe they will still issue you one but no guarantee.
