February 2, 201610 yr I am looking for thin hardwood (not balsa) sheets in 2 mm or 3mm thickness and 5 cm width. I need them to make miniature furniture for dollhouse. I have been trying several lumber yard/wood shop (Thaweepan, Suksawad, Woodworld among other), but none of them have them. The thinest that they have is only 5 mm. Is anyone here know where to get them? Thanks.
February 2, 201610 yr How many pieces do you need and which length? I might be able to make them for you with my planer. R'tje
February 2, 201610 yr All those lumber yards mentioned cut wood to the customer's specified sizes. Did you ask them to cut you what you want?
February 2, 201610 yr Author How many pieces do you need and which length? I might be able to make them for you with my planer. R'tje I only need max 8 pieces 1 meter length. What I want is a (not so) thick wood resaw into thin sheets so I can have almost identical grain patern on each of them. I guess the better way to do it with a saw band or table saw then plan to smooth.

February 3, 201610 yr Have you tried electrical supply shops? Thin pieces of wood are used by electricians as mounting points on walls for consumer boxes and the like. The ones I have seen are about 12in square but don't know if they would be thin enough for you.
