Cha Am Crab Festival 12-18 March 2016

This year’s Cha Am crab and seafood festival will take place between 12-18 March.

The event is being organised by Cha Am Municipality, Singha Corporation and Tourism Authority Thailand Phetchaburi office.

Cha Am mayor, Mr Nukool Pornsomboonsiri, said the event will help promote local crab fishing, as well as the importance of crab conservation.

Those who attend the festival can enjoy freshly cooked crab and live music from different musicians on each night of the event.

thank you, Jonathan, for the info. licklips.gif

do you know anything about the program on different days?

Thanks for the tiny morsel of news. What about a schedule of events, or at least a website where we can see it for ourselves??

Hello,

thank you if you could give us a site "FULL" for Hua Hin and Cha Am event for the year. guitar.gif

Typing "festivals in 2016, Hua Hin or Cha Am," I come across sites that are not updated or with few details.

This will troubleshoot many tourists who make their itinerary, often following the Thai festivals. Or to avoid !!!!!!

Well thank you and good day.

Has anyone been to this yet?

Any feedback?

I went this week.

Great fun, plenty of food... a bit over-priced by Thai standards, but still relatively cheap. The extra would have paid for the lighting, security, cleaners, bands etc.

It's on for a few more days so get there soon before they run out of crabs!

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Well thank you and good day.

The info is right there on the graphic that was posted. The info is in Thai for Thais. Thais don't communicate in English. Rare to find info in English created by Thais on most local Thai events, especially on the web. That is why you can sort of have a idea something is happening, but rarely what, when, where, costs, etc.

"The event is being organised by Cha Am Municipality, Singha Corporation and Tourism Authority Thailand Phetchaburi office."

Yet still no English. Never on any signs in Hua Hin for any upcoming events. They all look just like the graphic. Not even one small line in English at the bottom like this:

Crab Festival in Cha Am. MARCH 12-18. 18:00-23:30 Every night. Live Music. Great Seafood. Fun for Everyone by the Ocean.

How hard is that? One Line. BUT NO!

All the same, bike week, bicycle events, special walking street markets, even events FOR TOURISTS. No English.

That's why I am happy to read Thai language; on the same graphic , as usual, there is the date where comes the artist ( with his or her name, too )

Jai Dee to thank you for the nice pictures.
There was a wide variety of crustaceans and shellfish.
Congratulations to Aforek to have learned Thai.
This is all to your credit and this must give pleasure to thaillandais.
